So this is my first draft with PSF... so Im not real familiar with how the rankings reflect talent.
I assume that these young kids @ 21-22 yrs will improve and their ratings will go up over the next 5-6 years on average? So overall ratings of 60-70 can easily become 80-90's with time and development, right? How does all that work and is it a reliable way to view the players?

Yes overall ratings of 60-70 can become 80-90 over the players career but like in the real thing there is no guarantee. Some guys will boom and some guys will bust. Bit it is safe to assume that typically players will increase in ratings over the life of their careers.

So whille they can improve nothing is a sure thing.

That makes sense... thanks.
Also - I notice that the Overall ratings do not seem to be all that indicative of the talent level. For instance - two WR's can have almost identical speed/hands/int/ etc... yet 1 is 20 pts better int he overall category then the other. Cant seem to figure out what the difference is in those situations?

other attributes like blocking, endurance, etc are also used for the overall rating of the player.

And since so many of us have to do that it allows for those players to perform. If we had league depth those players would be exposed at their positions but for now it works.

The Tornadoes select FS Walter Allen. Ok, I'm confused...who the hell is Walter Allen? I don't see him in the draft pool or on the roster for the Kansas Tornadoes.

Top he is a G I was editing the post when you posted in the draft you have to look at current draft pool. Not next draft pool.. also he wouldnt be on Tornadoes roster yet because we have updated the pages.

WOW Shocking upset at the top of the draft!!!! QB class sucks and he as two ok rating QB's he also is stacked at WR so It was either the G or FS he could use more.

Ok, did you change the link to the draft pool on the draft page, because this is a different group of players? I thought I was losing my mind for a minute.

im just shocked that the cpu pick gave him the guard, game usually autopicks the top ranked guy regardless of need or position depth.

Well, I had to go BPA with my pick and I went with DE R. March. His overall rating is great, but he is solid everywhere. Decent strength, speed, agility, intelligence, and tackling. My defense needed some help last year, and he looks to be the best available player to help them out.
March, R. DE 65 81 60 1 69 1 76 66 13 1 8 2 17 74

Why are we doing a snake draft?

Why are we doing a snake draft? I like the Snake method - gives teams who had a fluke good season a chance to stay competitive. Just my thoughts though - and since Im that sort of team - that may be a bit biased.

Gotta say not a fan of the snake draft regardless of my spot in the draft. Should be the same as the NFL, makes for a better competitive balance
